The product spec sheet
Page one covers the panel system. Each panel is 53 by 17 inches, made of 26-gauge stamped structural steel with a natural stone coating. The panels interlock, the fasteners stay hidden, and they go straight onto the deck with no battens. Each course overlaps the one below by 3.5 inches, 19 panels cover 100 square feet, and the panels weigh 147 pounds per square.
Next come the three independently tested ratings: Class A fire, Class 4 impact for 2-inch hail, and 110 mph wind, each listed with its UL or ASTM test standard. Page one ends with the 70-year service life and the minimums for screws, deck and underlayment.
Page two lists every trim and accessory with its dimensions: valley cover, starter course, side wall, head wall, gable cover, ridge and hip tile, J channel, end cap, flat sheet and the vent panel.
The installation guide
Written for professional installers. Page one starts with the tools: a skill saw, cordless drill, impact driver, tin snips and a hammer. Then it walks through deck prep, underlayment (30# felt to ASTM D226 Type II at minimum, plus ice and water shield where your code calls for it), new construction, and re-roofing over one or two layers of asphalt shingles with a longer screw.
The guide calls for corrosion-resistant screws at least 1½ inches long, driven at least ¾ inch into the deck sheathing. Nails are not recommended on the panel. Panels always start on the left side of the roof and run left to right, and a cut schedule shows exactly where to cut the first four courses.
Page two takes the trims one at a time: starter and drip edge, the steel channel, valleys, gables, hips and ridges, head walls and side walls, pipes and other roof penetrations, and the vent panel for attic venting. Use it alongside your local building code, and call us for anything it doesn't cover.
